The Syracuse football squad  is set to take on their first ACC opponent of the season when the Florida State Seminoles enter the loudhouse on Saturday.

It’s time for our gameday prediction (a day early) for Week 3 of the Syracuse football schedule. The Florida State Seminoles are looking to continue their dominance in this series. These two foes have played 11 times, the Seminoles have taken 10 of those contests.

The last win and only win for the Orange vs Florida State? 1966. For context, my dad wasn’t even born yet. So safe to say it has been a while. But many analysts and pundits believe 2018 could be the year of the Orange in this matchup.

The Seminoles come into this game with a 1-1 record and barely beat Samford for their lone win of the season. While the Orange quite frankly have been dominant thus far with massive wins over Western Michigan and Wagner. The diffuclty level of opponent should obviously be considered.

We can argue all day whether you consider this Florida State game a skin, but what can’t be argued is Syracuse’s desperate search for legitimacy. This team has been a laughing stock for the last 15 years, with a win, they earn respect in college football.
