Every year the staff on the site predicts each Syracuse football game. Not it’s time for the lid lifter against Western Michigan on Friday night.

It’s an annual tradition to predict the Syracuse football games on a weekly basis. The first game up for the Orange is a roadtrip to Kalamazoo. When Syracuse fans read ‘Western Michigan’ on the schedule, it’s an unknown commodity.

That’s because these two Universities have never clashed on the gridiron. But don’t think that familiarity doesn’t exist here, because it does, on both sides. On the Western Michigan side, Tim Lester (Head Coach), Tim Daoust (Defensive Coordinator), Jake Moreland (Offensive Coordinator). The three major cogs for the Broncos all spent time on the hill at Syracuse previously.

While on the Orange side, Eric Dungey was recruited by Tim Lester. So were several other players on the Cuse squad. Which Dino Babers cited in his weekly press conference as a major advantage to Western Michigan because this team will know their strengths and weaknesses.

Will this awkwardness play a factor on gameday? Everyone I’ve talked too (coaches on both sides, radio voices, etc) have gave a resounding no. Once kickoff is initiated, all will be forgotten. Speaking of kickoff, let’s kick off our game prediction from the entire staff here at Inside the Loud House.
