Syracuse Football: Western Michigan breakdown (Behind Enemy Lines)
The Syracuse football squad will open up their season on the road. Here’s an inside look behind enemy lines with Western Michigan.
This has felt like the longest offseason in history for the Syracuse football squad. Nonetheless we’re finally here on game week. SU’s first opponent is the Western Michigan Broncos on the road in Kalamazoo.
Upon first glance, a casual Syracuse football fan may easily utter the words, ‘creampuff game’, but if they did do that, they’d be sorely mistaken. This Western Michigan team has had great success over the last several years and they’re looking to start their season off with a bang.

Every week we’re going to go ‘Behind Enemy Lines’ and speak with an expert from the opponent Syracuse is playing. This week we sat down with Nick Buckley, he covers Western Michigan football for the Battle Creek Enquirer, part of the USA Today Network. We discuss the familiarity between these two teams, who are the big players to watch out for on the Broncos, and some!
