This is a do or die scenario for the Orange, there’s no other way to spin it for the Cuse. With that being said they’ll be back home where they have both of their wins this season. Looking at the rest of the schedule there’s a real possibility SU goes winless on the road this season, so they have to defend home court.
This is a monumental game and SU has the advantage at quarterback again. This isn’t the Pitt team of old and that’s why the Orange are the favorites heading into this tilt. The Orange haven’t played a full four quarters of football this season, I think it all comes together on Saturday. SU wins 45 to 22.

The Syracuse football squad is back within the Carrier Dome’s friendly confines this Saturday afternoon, when the Orange hosts Pittsburgh. Both outfits are 2-3 on the year, with each program needing a victory to remain in contention for a bowl berth.
Our beloved boys at SU hung close on the road the past two times out, losing by fewer than 10 points, first to LSU, and then to N.C. State just last weekend. The Panthers, no doubt, will put up a fight, and I believe this battle will prove tight. In the end, though, I think that Syracuse will get back to its winning ways, defeating Pitt, 30-24.

Syracuse will come out firing against Pittsburgh. The Orange offense, who has been kept at bay inthe first half the last two weeks, then turned it on, will come out hot on Saturday. Pitt’s running game will keep them in the game for a while but Syracuse’s defense is able to get the stops necessary to secure the W in a must win situation. Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey and senior wide receivers Erv Philips and Steve Ishmael will once again be the bright spots on offense for the Orange. Final score: Syracuse 38-21

This is will be the Battle for the Bottom of the ACC. Not how we wanted it to be when the season started but it is what it is. Both teams enter the contest in the Dome at 2-3.
To me that is where the similarity ends. Our OINTF has been in each game until the end keeping it exciting, while obviously having gaps in performance. Each game was winnable and within sight.
The same cannot be said for the Panthers who have either blown out a few bottom feeders and got blown out by the upper echelon of College Football.
My prediction is a big win for Cuse 42-21 with Team Esden present in full force.

Syracuse Football desperately needs a win this weekend against Pittsburgh to try and salvage this season. I think the Orange can get it done and will do so in impressive fashion. The Orange offense is finally coming along, and every game the Orange faithful feel like the team has a chance; as they should. This team is talented and it will show its’ better than how they’ve played. I project the Orange win easily 38-21.
