Syracuse Football: Top 5 Plays of Week 5 Versus NC State (video highlights)

4. Eric Dungey Spin-Move for Touchdown
You know how in video games like Madden you can do juke moves, and spin moves and stiff arms. Well in this game, one of those moves became a reality. Of course, Mr. Dungey was once again the culprit. You might have guessed that it was once again a run because well, what plays by Dungey aren’t highlights?
On the play, the ball was at NC State’s seven yard line, with Dungey back alone to take the snap. As he did in the play mentioned before this one, he took a step or two back and then tucked and ran it towards the left. The fact that NC State couldn’t get a big push past the Orange offensive line was huge on this play.
On the way past his left guard, Dungey made three men miss using juke moves to his left. With two men to beat to get into the end zone, Dungey made a spin moves to pick up the final two yards. As a result, the defender was barely able to get a hand on him.
Luckily for Syracuse Football fans, Dungey did not leave himself open to a bad hit on the head or anywhere else on this fancy play for a touchdown. The touchdown though was the first of the game for the Orange though and showed the Wolfpack that Syracuse Football was here to play. Though the Orange were already down two touchdowns, it showed they weren’t going to be run out of town which it looked like in the first half. Luckily this play by Dungey kept the Orange within striking distance.
