Paul A. Esden Jr. (@BoyGreen25):

Talk about your quarterback Ryan Finley. He currently boasts the nation’s active streak for consecutive pass attempts without an interception. What can you attribute this progression from last season to this season?

Gary Hahn (@PackFootball):

Well I think he knows his teammates a little bit better. He’s added weight and strength. Overall he’s just really more mature. He played really well last season, but by the end of it the offensive line didn’t’ really protect him well. He threw some bad interceptions but it was the result of a lot of different things.

This season though, when healthy, this is one of the better offensive lines around. He does a really good job of getting the ball to the right people. Ice water in his veins, he doesn’t get rattled. Finley is a very smart player and he manages the game well and that’s all NC State asks him to do. He never is asked to win the game, he just has to avoid the critical mistakes. Finley does a fantastic job at that.
