Syracuse Football crushed Central Michigan in the second half last week in the Carrier Dome. Now we let you know how to prepare weather-wise for a road game at Tiger Stadium, the Home of the LSU Tigers.
Syracuse Football has had the pleasure of enjoying a three-week home schedule to start the 2017 College Football season. The Orange only won two out of the three they were supposed to win, but such is the nature of sports.
Now the Orange hit the road and head south to get their first true test of the season. A matchup against one of the big boys of college football: the 25th-ranked Louisiana State (LSU) Tigers. This is a game that will determine if the Syracuse football is any sort of a contender this year or just a pretender.
LSU will be wanting to bounce back from their crushing loss on the road last week to unranked Mississippi State. The Orange on the other hand are feeling pretty good about themselves after they handled a very capable Central Michigan squad last week in the Dome. In that game the Orange offense soared so its just a matter of time before it all comes together to be a very dangerous unit week-in and week-out.
Still, this matchup on the road in one of the hardest places to play in the country. Tiger Stadium otherwise known as Death Valley is well named. Its where the faint of heart come to die in a matter of speaking. In other words, the teams that don’t deserve to win there don’t. As a Syracuse fan, I surely hope Syracuse Football can stand tall and proud, even if it is in a loss this weekend.
Now, I’m not saying the Orange will lose. I hope they don’t, but it is a very difficult matchup and I would understand if they did. However, anything is possible as Head Coach Dino Babers said this week.
If you are attending the game as a loyal fan, here’s how its going to be this Saturday at Tiger Stadium. The Game is set for 7pm on Saturday night, so tailgating could range from 3pm or earlier all the way up until kickoff. Tailgating temperatures before the game should be between 86-90°F with sunshine, according to Accuweather.com

What about the wind though?
The wind should be between 7-8 mph before kickoff if you are heading to the game. That should give a nice breeze to journeying fans on a hot day.
There should be no rain, even through the game. The temperature will dip though as the night goes on. Nothing that needs wearing a jacket or coat or anything.
By kickoff the the temperature should be 80 degrees, but by the time the game lets out around 10 pm the temperatures will be around 77 degrees. So not a bad day at all if you traveled all the way from Syracuse, NY to see the game.
All in all, it should be another perfect game day for Syracuse Football fans to attend a football game if indeed you made the trip to Louisiana.
If you stay at home though and catch Syracuse on TV for the first time this year on ESPN2, make sure you still get to toss around the pigskin or fire up the grill because it will be a nice day here in Central New York as well with a high of 84 degrees and lots of sunshine, according to Local Syr.com. Who knew it could stay so nice out this late in September in Central New York? Either way, make sure you catch the game as the Orange will need a lot of support. Let’s Go Orange!
