We go Inside The Twitterbag to see what the fans are talking about and what our panel of columnists think about it. This week we talk Syracuse football.

Last season didn’t live up to expectations. Plain and simple. 4-8 isn’t going to get it done.

They haven’t had a .500+ season since 2013. But was discovered last season may not have been a bowl berth, but a revolution. An inside peak into what the future holds for Orange Is The New Fast.

It all went down Week 7 of last season. The Orange entered the game on a two game losing streak and a dismal 2-4 record. Things weren’t looking good.

That’s especially true when you consider the Orange’s next opponent was an AP top 20-ranked program that was hotter than any team in the country.

Despite the overwhelming odds that said the Cuse would fall to 2-5, they didn’t. SU dominated the game with wildcat plays and with tenacity.

Syracuse won every major category in the contest including: first downs, total yards, passing yards, rushing yards, heck even penalty yards. It all resulted in a 31-17 victory and was the shining moment in an otherwise uneventful rookie campaign for Dino Babers.

Which led to one of the most viral videos in college football history. The game was televised on ESPN and Babers said that this speech just kind of happened and he didn’t even remember the cameras were in the room.

Now parts of this speech have been used as recruiting tools for the Orange, they are relived in sports radio intros across Central New York, and forever in infamy among the Cuse faithful.

So the latest question we’re throwing on the docket is simple…

Will Dino Babers top his post game speech from last season in 2017?

We now shift the question over to our panel to debate and discuss. So here’s what they had to say:

"As most of you know, football is my bread and butter. It’s my favorite sport by far, although IMore from Inside the Loud HouseSyracuse Football: Cuse boils Purdue, turns attention to Army on SaturdaySyracuse football only team in country with top-5 scoring offense, defenseSyracuse Basketball: 4-star Elijah Moore not in top 100, and I don’t get thatSyracuse basketball 4-star west-coast recruit, in new rankings, into top 20Syracuse basketball is hitting D.C. market hard in pursuit of 4-stars, 5-starsenjoy a lot of sports. I’ve never seen a more provocative, bold, and intriguing coach than Dino Babers in Syracuse. This guy has it all: the moxie, the discipline, and the system to bring the Orange back to relevance. Now as it pertains to the question, I think he tops it. Maybe I’ll be the lone one on this train because of how special and emotional that game was last season. This guy is a walking punchline. I work in the media here in Syracuse and every thing this guy says turns into a headline. He’s a wordsmith and a movie buff and that’s a rare and potent combination.Because of that, I think that Babers will magically whisk together another memorable speech. It’s in his blood. This season is pivotal for this program and the perception of Dino Babers. When we get closer to season we’ll have a roundtable talking about how many wins we think the Orange will get this season. Here’s my sneak peek, they have an opportunity to get back to a bowl game this season and I think that the Orange does it."

"I think it’s pretty hard to top the moment he had last year. His locker room speech was special, from the heart, and very motivational.I think Babers will continue to have moments like these, but this one last year was so special because it felt good to finally win against a ranked team for the first time since 2012.Virginia Tech was no slouch last year so winning that game brought there best out of the team and Babers, which ultimately led to a pretty unique and emotional moment. I don’t think the team or Babers ever thought It’d get this much attention, but it was really motivational. So will they have one greater this year? Probably not. But there openings for upsets are there, as the ‘Cuse have one of the toughest schedules in the ACC and possibly the nation. Babers and this Orange unit have heart, so I expect a lot of moments similar to the one year to happen a lot more often. Being a Syracuse football fan for most of my life, I certainly can say I love seeing moments like that, because they have heart. And that’s what this fan base needs to see more of, so they can believe in this team again, and once more make the Carrier Dome the Loud House once again!"

"If the Orange are able to knock off another top 25 team like they did last year, I say coach Dino Babers will deliver another memorable speech. However, if the Orange are unable to do so, there won’t be a classic locker room speech from Babers. This will depend on how the Orange play in year two of his system.I believe that this year’s team will be able to pull off at least one big upset this season, and we will all get to witness Babers have a better postgame speech than last year’s after the win against Virginia Tech."

Before we get to our final response lets see how the fans voted in this contest!

"Dino faces a unique challenge as the coach of the Orange. He has the most experienced starting roster in the Nation, as I have covered in an earlier article. This fact coupled with one of the most talented returning QBs in the nation (#Dungey4Heisman) puts the OITNF in a prime position for the upcoming season. This talented, experienced roster faces of course the toughest schedule in the nation, as the Orange has almost every season. So back to the question at hand, will he top his postseason locker room rant/celebration I’m not entirely sure all I know is he will have more opportunities than he did last year."
