Syracuse Basketball: Top 10 Moments During the 2016-2017 Season

6.) Season-Ending Win Against Georgia Tech
This game was a highlight show in the second half. Sure, the Orange were up by 12 at half, but they quickly squandered that lead early in the second half. In fact, the Yellow Jackets got within three with 17:40 left to go in the second half. The Orange though would go on a huge 52-26 run, after that initial outburst by Georgia Tech, to put the game away for good.
The main reason for this run: Andrew White III went nuts from three point land. He had a career high eight three’s in nine tries and shot 12 of 16 from the field. That’s a 75 percent clip from the field. Altogether he scored a career high 40 points, which was a dome career record.
It was one of the most fascinating games of the year for the Orange, and one of the games that made Syracuse feel secure it was in the NCAA Tournament. As we all know though, that didn’t happen, but at least they tried with performances like this one.
