Syracuse Basketball: The Orange Will Make the Final Four

Syracuse basketball has reached the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2013, which is also the last time they went to a Final Four. Could this year be a repeat?

Earlier this year, I posted an article about Syracuse basketball saying that they could be primed for a Final Four run. Had I made that same comment just one week ago, you’d have thought I was completely crazy.

Now, while still not an easy task, that is looking like a distinct possibility. With a game against 11th seeded Gonzaga up next, the Orange could make it to the Elite Eight without having to play a top top seed.

Things would certainly get more difficult from there, as they would play the winner of Virginia Iowa State, but certainly not impossible. SU lost earlier in the season to Virginia, but it was a close game throughout and was played at Virginia.

Iowa State is a very good team, but if the Orange are shooting it well and defending like they have been, that game is certainly winnable too.

So I’m here today to tell you that regardless of the winner of that game, Syracuse basketball are headed for the Final Four. Here’s some reasons why:
