Tyler Lydon- 4 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks, 1 turnover, 1-5 overall, 0-3 from 3

Lydon was pretty much as advertised. A non-stop, energetic windmill of athleticism that relentlessly attacked every aspect of the game. Although he struggled offensively and only managed four points, his defense was stellar, as was his offensive rebounding.

Lydon pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds, including three offensive boards. He also played some exceptional defense at both the center position and on the wing. Although he was giving up over 40 lbs when he manned the middle, he played incredibly well due to his length and athleticism. He had a couple of beautiful blocks and got his hands in the passing lane to record three steals.

The future is incredibly bright for Lydon. I think as the season progresses, his offensive game will develop more as he gets more comfortable with spacing the floor. His defense and energy are already good enough for the college game, and he proved that he is ready for a big role on this team as he outplayed both Tyler Roberson and Dajuan Coleman to earn his minutes.

I give Lydon an overall grade of A-. Although the offense is a work in progress, the rest of his game more than made up for it. Given time, he will score points when defenses are forced to key in on Cooney, Gbinije, and Richardson.
