Franklin Howard- 0 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 4 minutes played
Not much to really be said about Howard. He didn’t get much of an opportunity to play, and I’m really not sure why. With how much Gbinije and Cooney were struggling with their shots, I would have hoped Boeheim would give him some more minutes to see what he could do.
Unfortunately, it looks like it will be the typical situation for Boeheim, where he plays his upper classmen far too many minutes and doesn’t put trust into his young guard. It was the same story with MCW and Waiters as freshman.

I’m hopeful this was just a one-game thing and Howard will get more minutes, because I think he can be a real asset to the team. I’m not going to give him a grade overall, as there’s really not much to take away from a measly four minutes of action.
Overall, I think the team played decent against a tough and gritty Lehigh squad. They turned the ball over far too much and missed way too many open shots, but it’s early in the season and they are still trying to figure out how to play as a team. Given time, those things will work themselves out.
