Syracuse basketball plays against Cornell on Wednesday night. We get you ready with what you need to know to be able to watch and listen to the game.

Syracuse basketball finally is looking the part of a decent team after two excellent performances against Colgate and Seattle. Now in their fourth game of the season, the Orange will take on rival Cornell in the Dome Wednesday night in what many are affectionately calling Boeheim Bowl III.

The annual Boeheim Bowl will feature three Boeheim’s once again.

For Syracuse, you have Buddy Boeheim and of course coach Jim Boeheim. On Cornell’s side, you have their leading scorer Jimmy Boeheim.

Jimmy is having a heck of year this year averaging more than 15 points per game, according to ESPN. Unfortunately, that has not led to much success overall though as Cornell will come into the Dome with just a 1-3 record on the season.

Cornell is not favored in this game, and is expected to actually be a team Syracuse basketball is expected to blow past. ESPN.com’s matchup predictor gives the Orange a 93.5% chance of winning and the spread or margin of victory for ‘Cuse sits at 21.0 points!

In other words, this Big Red team is really struggling. Sure that have capable guards and forwards like Jimmy B. and Terrance McBride who can hit some three and a guy inside like Josh Warren who can rebound inside and block shots, but that’s about it. The Orange if they key on these three can easily put this game away early.

The fact is the Orange length in this one and their 2-3 zone defense should force a lot of turnovers which can turn into easy points. Cornell is lacking the talent to really compete in this one and as a result this game should not be close.

We should expect Joseph Girard III in his second career start to keep the offense fluid and continue to hit shots. In addition, we might see Elijah Hughes get over 20 points in this one as well.

In terms of Buddy Boeheim, we can expect him to reach double figures but don’t expect him to have more points than Jimmy: Jimmy is Cornell’s go-to-guy. Either way, the Orange should win easily and this should be a fun game for Orange fans to watch.

So how can I watch or listen to the game?
