The Syracuse basketball team plays their third game of the season against Seattle on Saturday night. Inside The Loud House gets you ready with what you need to know to be able to watch and listen to the game.

Syracuse basketball finally picked up their first win of the season earlier this week with a win over Colgate. Colgate was a good test to see where this team was after a lackluster showing against Virginia and their tough pack-line defense in the season opener.

The good news is the Orange came out with renewed focus and energy and got the job done affair the Raiders and will hopefully keep that going as they take on Seattle in the Dome Saturday night.

Seattle like Colgate isn’t exactly stellar competition as they’re not a Power Five team, but they put up a decent squad. So far this season they are 2-2 showing that they’re no pushover either.

Syracuse, on the other hand, has a ton of youth and that should show once again in this game against a more experienced team. The one difference though is that Syracuse’s talent may be just too much for the Redhawks. The Orange have lots of length and for a team like Seattle, which doesn’t see the 2-3 zone like Jim Boeheim employs often, may really struggle to score against it.

So what should we expect?

We should expect a pretty close first half as both teams still try to figure each other out. However, when Syracuse starts to figure things out in the half-court midway through the first half, then the Redhawks may be in trouble. The Orange has the shooters to put teams away and that is exactly what we should expect against Seattle once Syracuse figures them out.

Joseph Girard III, in particular, may have extra motivation as this is his first career start at Syracuse, replacing Jalen Carey at the point. We can expect him to make a few mistakes, but ultimately get a better sense of what his role for this team will be going forward.

In addition, if the game gets out of hand in the second half, we can expect to see more reserve players like Howard Washington, Jesse Edwards, Brycen Goodine, and Robert Braswell get more run to see if they should be part of Jim Boeheim’s rotation going forward. Of those I expect Goodine to get the most minutes as he can handle the ball well and shoot pretty decently when given the room.

So how can I watch or listen to the game?

The game will be shown on ACC Network Extra on the WatchESPN app, so you will need a cable subscription with ACC Network included to watch the game, according to Cuse.com.
