Toward the beginning of this year, Syracuse football coaches extended a scholarship offer to 2026 four-star quarterback Luke Fahey, who hails from California and put forth a terrific junior season for his nationally ranked high school program.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Fahey, who disclosed his 'Cuse offer via his X page on January 1, is a standout at Mission Viejo High School in Mission Viejo, Calif. In the 2024 campaign, Mission Viejo finished 10-1 overall and was ranked No. 16 around the country, according to MaxPreps.

In a recent post on X, top recruiting analyst Charles Kang of The Juice Online on the Rivals.com network noted that the Orange, led by head coach Fran Brown, is currently one of six suitors standing out to Fahey, which is awesome to hear.

Additionally, in a separate X post, top 247Sports analyst Mike McAllister wrote that Fahey may visit the Syracuse football program at some point in the future, although nothing has been scheduled as of yet.

Syracuse football is in the mix for 2026 four-star quarterback Luke Fahey.

Per MaxPreps, in 2024, Fahey completed 76.6 percent of his passes for 1,638 yards with 17 touchdowns and zero interceptions. As a sophomore in the 2023 season, he completed 62.7 percent of his attempts for 2,184 yards with 26 touchdowns against just six interceptions.

According to recruiting services, besides the Orange, Fahey's full offer sheet includes schools such as Arkansas, Auburn, California, Cincinnati, Florida State, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, SMU, Washington, Boston College, UCF and Purdue, among others.

When I wrote this article on Wednesday, within the 2026 cycle, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite had Fahey at No. 244 nationally, No. 15 at quarterback and No. 28 in California.

Over at the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking, he checked in at No. 325 overall, No. 19 at quarterback and No. 34 in California.

Currently, Fahey's highest 2026 rankings come from Rivals.com, which has him at No. 106 nationwide, No. 7 at pro-style quarterback and No. 15 in California.

To date, the 'Cuse has four verbal pledges in its 2026 class, which is rated No. 18 around the country per the 247Sports Composite. While Syracuse football coaches have yet to secure a verbal commitment from a 2026 quarterback, the Orange has offers out to various signal-callers in the junior cycle, such as four-star Peyton Falzone, four-star Derek Zammit, four-star Gavin Sidwar, three-star Derek Garcia and three-star Briggs Cherry, among others.
