The Syracuse basketball non-conference docket during the upcoming 2024-25 season is complete, and the Orange will kick off this campaign against a program just a few miles away.

SU Athletics announced on Wednesday that the 'Cuse will welcome nearby Le Moyne to the JMA Wireless Dome on Monday, Nov. 4, in the 2024-25 season opener for Syracuse basketball.

This, from my perspective, is an awesome way to commence the next term. Le Moyne is a member of the Northeast Conference and moved to Division I a season ago, when the Dolphins sported a 15-17 overall mark and went 9-7 in league play.

In their all-time series together, during regular seasons, the Orange is 6-0 versus Le Moyne. The most recent affair occurred in December of 2008, when Syracuse basketball prevailed, 85-51.

Based on official press releases from SU Athletics and other media reports, we now know all 11 of the Orange's non-conference contests in 2024-25.

The full non-conference calendar for Syracuse basketball this coming season.

•Syracuse basketball versus Le Moyne at the Dome on November 4.

•Syracuse basketball versus Colgate at the Dome on November 12.

•Syracuse basketball versus Youngstown State at the Dome on November 16.

•Syracuse basketball will have two games in the 2024 Legends Classic at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on November 21 and November 22. Per SU Athletics, the Orange will first square off against Texas. The 'Cuse will also have a contest against either Texas Tech or Saint Joseph's.

•Syracuse basketball versus Cornell at the Dome on November 27.

•Syracuse basketball at Tennessee on December 3 in the 2024 SEC/ACC Challenge.

•Syracuse basketball versus Albany at the Dome on December 10.

•Syracuse basketball versus Georgetown at the Dome on December 14.

•Syracuse basketball versus Maryland, also at the Barclays Center, on December 21.

•Syracuse basketball versus Bucknell at the Dome on December 28.

Additionally, per SU Athletics, the 'Cuse has at least two exhibitions lined up. Syracuse basketball will host Division II Clarion on October 26 and Division II Slippery Rock on October 30. Both of these opponents are members of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

As it pertains to the Orange's non-conference schedule, there are seven home games, three contests at neutral sites, and one true road encounter. In 2023-24, the 'Cuse went 9-2 during its non-conference slate, which was a challenging one under first-year head coach Adrian Autry.
