A five-star, consensus top-20 prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle, who has reportedly received interest from the Syracuse basketball coaching staff, is taking his talents to one of the premier prep-school squads around the country.

Vyctorius Miller, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard/small forward, recently wrapped up a stellar sophomore campaign for Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine, Calif., during a 2021-22 stanza in which he landed All-America honors.

According to numerous media reports, Miller plans to transfer from Crean Lutheran High School to the powerhouse AZ Compass Prep School in Chandler, Ariz.

In 2021-22, the AZ Compass Prep School finished up with a 25-5 overall mark and was ranked No. 8 nationally in the final MaxPreps top-20 ratings of the best independent basketball academies and other prep teams that don’t typically compete for state-affiliated championships.

A participant in the prestigious 2022 GEICO Nationals, which were recently held in Ft. Myers, Fla., the AZ Compass Prep School roster in 2021-22 included former Orange recruiting target Chance Westry, a 2022 four-star guard who is committed to Auburn.

Five-star Vyctorius Miller, who has Syracuse basketball interest, is a top-flight 2024 prospect.

Looking ahead to the 2022-23 campaign, some early pre-season prognostications from experts suggest that the AZ Compass Prep School will open that stanza as a top-10 squad.

The Dragons, though, will face stiff competition, as they are moving to the absolutely loaded National Interscholastic Basketball Conference (“NIBC”), a super league of sorts that includes independent basketball academies and other prep-school teams.

The NIBC recently disclosed that it is expanding from eight to 10 squads by adding the AZ Compass Prep School and Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y.

Two Syracuse basketball four-star commits, guard Judah Mintz and small forward Chris Bunch, played in the NIBC this past season in their senior years.

Mintz attended the Oak Hill Academy from Mouth of Wilson, Va., while Bunch went to the Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah.

Getting back to Miller, the majority of primary recruiting services rate him as a five-star prospect in the 2024 class.

Some national analysts and scouts have said of late that Miller is likely a serious contender for the No. 1 overall ranking in his cycle.

He is generally deemed as a top-five shooting guard across the country in 2024. ESPN’s new rankings for this class put him at No. 16 overall.

The industry-generated 247Sports Composite has Miller at No. 9 nationally, as does the On3 Consensus, while Rivals.com places Miller at No. 10 across the country.

As far as his recruitment goes, according to reports, Miller’s Twitter page and recruiting services, he is garnering interest from teams such as the ‘Cuse and Oregon.

His official scholarship offers have arrived from squads including 2022 NCAA Tournament winner Kansas, UCLA, Southern California, Arizona, Georgetown, Wake Forest, Oklahoma State, LSU, Arizona State and Ole Miss.
