Syracuse basketball has secured a stellar five-member 2022 class. The Orange is pursuing a range of top-flight prospects in the 2023 cycle.

And now the ‘Cuse coaching staff is gaining some momentum as it doles out offers to targets in 2024, while showing interest in other high-school players situated within this class.

One of the more recent scholarship offers by the Orange went out to 2024 five-star point guard Elliot Cadeau, who attends Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, N.J.

The 6-foot-1 Cadeau is rated the No. 1 point guard in his cycle, per ESPN, and he’s also a top-10 overall prospect according to several recruiting services.

Cadeau’s early offers include from Seton Hall, Providence, St. John’s, Texas Tech, Tennessee, Oklahoma State, TCU, UMass, Howard and Siena.

Let’s take a look at other 2024 players whom Syracuse basketball is courting.

Not too long ago, Orange coaches extended an offer to 2024 five-star power forward Derik Queen from Baltimore. The 6-foot-8 Queen plays for the juggernaut Montverde Academy in Montverde, Fla.

Queen is a top-five player across the country in his class, according to a variety of recruiting services. Among his other suitors are Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Auburn, DePaul, Maryland, Texas, Virginia Tech, Georgetown, LSU and Arizona State.

In August at the team’s annual Elite Camp, Syracuse basketball coaches made their first offer to a 2024 player, with the offer arriving for four-star power forward Donnie Freeman.

The 6-foot-9 Freeman is out of St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C. Freeman, a top-25 prospect in the 2024 cycle according to several recruiting services, has other offers from the likes of George Mason, Virginia Tech, Xavier, Maryland, Old Dominion and Georgetown.

Additionally, as we’ve discussed in a couple of columns, the ‘Cuse is reportedly displaying interest in 2024 point guard Curtis Givens III and 2024 big man Caleb Middleton.

The 6-foot-2 Givens attends the Memphis University School in Memphis, Tenn., while the 6-foot-10 Middleton is from the Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio.

Givens, whom some analysts believe will enter the 2024 national rankings sooner rather than later, has offers from Memphis, Maryland, Georgetown, Illinois, St. John’s and Florida, among others.

Middleton, a talented and under-rated 2024 prospect, has offers from teams including Iowa, DePaul, Bryant, Siena and Florida International University.
