Syracuse Basketball: Rakeem Christmas, Michael Jordan tied together forever

Former Syracuse basketball star Rakeem Christmas and NBA icon Michael Jordan are now tied together forever. Here are all the details.

Rakeem Christmas is well known around the salt city for his contributions to the Syracuse basketball squad.

He helped the Orange reach a Final Four back in 2013 (team success) and finally found individual success as a senior. After being a role player through the first three years of his college career in his senior season he averaged 17.5 points per game and 9.1 boards per game.

Rakeem was able to turn that into a two-year NBA career and last played for the New Zealand Breakers overseas.

But now his legacy will extend beyond the basketball court. Christmas and Jasmine Jordan revealed on social media that their first child together has arrived:

Jasmine is the daughter of basketball icon Michael Jordan. Which means MJ is officially a grandfather.

Rakeem also confirmed the news on his Instagram feed:

Which means Rakeem and the Jordan brand are now tied together forever. We couldn’t be happier for the couple and we send our deepest congratulations.

Both Jasmine and Rakeem are Syracuse alum and their first child together is a son. It seems only a matter of time before “RMC” (initials of the baby boy revealed on social media), could be playing for the Orange. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jim Boeheim is still coaching the team either.
