Paul A. Esden Jr. (@BoyGreen25):

HC Pat Narduzzi is in his third season with Pitt, you mentioned him earlier, how is he fitting in?

Bill Osborn (@Pitt_FB):

I think he’s fitting in terrifically. Being a South Jersey kid and not being from Pitt, this city adopted me. It’s not for everyone but for the people that get it, this is one of the best cities in America. It’s a special city and I think Narduzzi is the perfect fit.

My concern as an alumni and as a guy that does the games. Was having a guy who wasn’t a “Pitt guy” as ironic as that sounds. Because you don’t want a guy who’s using this as a springboard, you want a coach who’s going to be here for the long haul.

I think Narduzzi is here for the long haul. He understands the dynamics, he understands the city and he gets the Pitt attitude. He’s a feisty competitor, hard nosed and if you know anything about Pittsburgh that’s the kind of guys they love.

I’m not saying he’s not flashy, but they don’t care about all the fluff. They want to pound you on the ground. Pound you on defense. They want to win those hard fought 21 to 17 kind of games. Everything works: his personality, his background, and how he matches with the program and the direction.
