Paul A. Esden Jr. (@BoyGreen25):

Talk to us about this year’s team. They’ve got a grad transfer at quarterback and that’s always an interesting dynamic. They obviously come in with the same record as the Cuse, so what team is coming into the Carrier Dome?

Bill Osborn (@Pitt_FB):

This team is starting to find their offensive identity. You’ve got a team that’s hard nosed and they’re going to fight to the very end. There were a lot of question marks at quarterback coming into this year. Who were they going to go with?

Depending on the guy they chose, would reveal what kind of identity they were shooting for. Because some of the guys on the roster would be more option based quarterbacks as opposed to a pocket passing system. They settled with Max Browne and he’s finally coming into his own.

In the backfield they’ve got a nice running back by committee system going and that seems to be working out for them. A guy to keep an eye on is Jester Weah. He is a guy who can run the full route tree, will go get the ball, and make a play.

HC Pat Narduzzi’s gameplan is going to be stop the run and then force opposing teams to beat us through the air. Defensively he’s willing to play man across the board and it’ll come down to those one-on-one matchups in the secondary.
