Syracuse Football takes on the Clemson Tigers in their third game of the season Saturday evening. Here’s how you can watch and listen to the big game.

Syracuse football is coming off an embarrassing 63-20 loss on the road at Maryland. Syracuse fans are wondering if that is a sign of things to come, or if the Orange are better then they played or if it’s just an anomaly.

Well, we’ll certainly find out this week as the Orange take on the Clemson at home in the Dome (aka the Loud House).

Syracuse has given Clemson fits the last two years. The Orange upset the No. 2 ranked Tigers 27-24 in Syracuse in 2017, and narrowly lost to No. 2 Clemson last year 27-23 in a game the Orange led up until 41 seconds to play.

The Orange clearly have had the Tiger’s number and they hope they do so once again this year when the game comes back home to a sellout crowd of 50,000+ in Syracuse.

The loss to Maryland surely rattled the confidence of the Syracuse football team and its fan base. However, with the hometown crowd behind them and the chance to prove the doubters wrong once again, this team is exactly where it was the last two seasons: the underdog with a chance for a potential upset.

The Orange may need a near-perfect game all-around or a bad showing from Clemson to have a chance in this one. The reigning national champion and No. 1 ranked Tigers are playing great ball to start the season which doesn’t bode well for Syracuse.

ESPN.com matchup predictor has the spread at 27.5 points in favor of Clemson and gives the Orange a 3.4% chance at winning. That’s not exactly what you want to hear when talking about a possible upset.

The good news though is the Orange control their own destiny. Sure they had a bad game against Maryland last week, but that’s no reason why they can’t improve and be much better this week. Sometimes big games bring out the best in athletes. Hopefully that’s the case and the Orange come out pumped and ready to go Saturday evening.
