The Alliance of American Football is now in full swing after completing Week 2. Here’s how all the former Syracuse football alum performed.

The Alliance of American Football is a unique opportunity for former Syracuse football stars both past and present to strut their stuff in front of thousands of fans in person and millions watching at home.

The AAF message is clear, play great ball and you’ll earn an opportunity to get back into the NFL. With Week 2 of AAF in the books, here’s how all the former Orange alum performed on the biggest stage.

Here’s how some former Orange stars performed in Week 2:

Amba Etta-Tawo, WR, Birmingham Iron

  • Amba Etta-Tawo injured his knee and did not participate in practice leading up to Week 2. There were reports suggesting Etta-Tawo would still play but on a snap count. The Iron ended up playing it safe and rested him this week. Birmingham is one of three undefeated teams left in the AAF after defeating the Salt Lake Stallions 12-9 in their Week 2 matchup.

Ervin Philips, WR, Atlanta Legends

  • Philips is one of three starting wide receivers for the Atlanta Legends. He was targeted twice and didn’t record a reception in Atlanta’s Week 2 loss vs the San Diego Fleet (22-14 final score).

Kevin Coyle, HC, Atlanta Legends

  • The Atlanta Legends are currently in last place in the AAF Eastern Conference at 0-2. Believe it or not, 20 percent of the AAF schedule is already complete, so if the Legends want to make the playoffs they’ll have to turn things around sooner rather than later.

Andrew Tiller, OL, Orlando Apollos

  • The Apollos are also one of three teams that are still undefeated at 2-0. The Apollos are tied for first place in the AAF Eastern Conference. Thanks in large part to a 37-29 win over the San Antonio Commanders in Week 2.

Jordan Martin, DB, San Diego Fleet

  • Jordan Martin led the Fleet in tackles (4), one assisted tackle, one tackle for loss, and registered one pass deflection. In a recent radio interview in Syracuse, general manager Dave Boller “guaranteed” that Jordan Martin would be in an NFL training camp next year with all the skills he possesses.

Dave Boller, GM, San Diego Fleet

  • The Fleet got their first win of the season in Week 2 vs the Atlanta Legends to reach .500 at 1-1. San Diego had to overcome a 9-0 deficit vs the Legends. The Fleet are tied for second place in the Western Conference standings of the AAF.

Daryl ‘Moose’ Johnston, GM, San Antonio Commanders

  • Someone we failed to mention in our initial AAF post is one of the most underrated players in Syracuse lore: Daryl ‘Moose’ Johnston. A three-time Super Bowl champion with the Dallas Cowboys and general manager for the San Antonio Commanders. While in Week 2 they lost a heartbreaker to one of the best teams in the AAF (Orlando Apollos), they’re still tied for second place in the AAF Western Conference.
