After four straight wins in the NCAA Tournament, Syracuse basketball faces the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Final Four on Saturday night.

We’re now just about one day away from the epic ACC showdown between the Tar Heels of North Carolina and the Orange from Syracuse. 68 teams began with hopes of making it this far, but now we are down to just four. Syracuse basketball is just two games away from a national championship. Can you believe it? I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t surprised.

But surprised or not, I always knew this team had loads of potential. Led by two seniors in the back court, one of whom has still not gone a single game the entire season without scoring at least 10 points. Two freshman phenoms who have developed into outstanding talents. A junior forward who is finally playing with the tenacity and energy that we always knew he could. Another junior who’s looking for redemption after two injury-plagued seasons.

And a head coach with more experience than just about anyone in college basketball. Add it all up and you’ve got one interesting Final Four team. A team that no one expected to do much in the tourney, who many thought didn’t even deserve to be here, has made some serious waves. And they aren’t done yet. A win tomorrow night over UNC would be just another layer of icing onto the already delicious cake that has been Syracuse basketball this season… and I don’t even like cake.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at the four keys to beating UNC.
