After losing a defensive back recruit for the class of 2015, the Syracuse added cornerback Andrew Spence from Miami, Florida on Friday, according to multiple recruiting websites that say he verbally committed to play for the Orange.
The 6’2″ Spence, from Coral Gables High School, is rated a two-star prospect by Rivals.com and was recruited by Syracuse offensive coordinator George McDonald. On Thursday, Davante Davis, a safety from Booker T. Washington High School also in Miamj, decommitted from Syracuse. He is a three star recruit and is the 91st best player in the state of Florida according to Rivals.com
Spence is now the second defensive back in a class that consists of eight players so far. He is the fifth commitment in the class from Florida. Rivals.com currently ranks the Orange’s class of 2015 the 48th best in the nation.
