New York Giants Draft Jay Bromley

On the second day of the 2014 NFL Draft, the New York Giants chose to pick an in state player with their third round pick. The defensive tackle who spent four years with the Syracuse football program was selected 72nd overall.

The man from Queens will now be taking his talents close to home in the Meadowlands. The Giants needed some help on the defensive line, and after drafting wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in the first round and center Weston Richburg in the second round, the G-Men decided to address that issue.

Bromley, originally from Queens, is a 6’3″ 306 pound lineman who recorded a team-high ten sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss during his senior season. The fourth round will resume at noon eastern time on Saturday with the fourth round of selections.
