Syracuse Orange Move Up in USILA Poll

The Syracuse Orange men’s lacrosse team’s weekend didn’t finish the way they wanted to but their week started off nicely on Monday as they moved up to third in this week’s USILA Coaches’ Poll.

The Orange, 10-4, moved up one spot after splitting their two games in the ACC Tournament. The team they beat on Friday, the Duke Blue Devils, sit one spot behind them in the rankings at fourth, and ACC champion Notre Dame, who beat the Orange 15-14 for the title, are ranked fifth. The three other ACC teams, Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina, are also ranked in the top ten at seventh, eighth and ninth respectively. Loyola maintains their number one ranking in the polls with a 14-1 record.

The Orange will cap off their season on Saturday as they host Colgate at the Carrier Dome. Faceoff is at 4:00 p.m. ET.
