Syracuse Football To Host LSU in 2015

A big announcement was made Wednesday afternoon that the Syracuse football team will be playing a home-and-home series against the LSU Tigers, starting at the Carrier Dome in 2015, Cuse.com reports.

The game in Syracuse will be on September 26th while the game in Baton Rouge won’t be until September 9th, 2017. Dr. Daryl Gross, Athletic Director of Syracuse, is very excited about this opportunity.

“We are thrilled to enter into this home-and-home agreement with a premiere program like LSU. Student-athletes come to Syracuse to play on the biggest stage possible, and this gives our coaches and young men the chance to battle one of the standard-bearers of the SEC on our home turf,” -Daryl Gross.

The last time the Orange faced an SEC opponent was in the 2012 season when they traveled to Columbia to face the Missouri Tigers in their first season in the conference. The Orange squeaked out a 31-27 victory.
