Syracuse forward C.J. Fair can add another offseason honor to his resume as he was named a Second team All-American by the United States Basketball Writers Association Wednesday.
The senior Fair is joined by Cleanthony Early of Wichita State, Melvin Ejim of Iowa State, Sean Kilpatrick of Cincinnati and Andrew Wiggins of Kansas on the Second team. Fellow ACC student-athlete Jabari Parker of Duke was named to the First team. Parker and Fair are the only two ACC players to be placed on the USBWA All-American teams.
Fair leads the Orange with 16.9 points per game, he also grabs 6.2 rebounds and shoots 44.1 percent from the field. On Monday he was named to the All-ACC First team by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association and the ACC coaches.
