Ennis and Fair Finalists For Oscar Robertson Award

Tyler Ennis and C.J. Fair were named on a list of 15 finalists for the Oscar Robertson Award by the United States Basketball Writers Association on Thursday. The award is given to the most outstanding player in college basketball.

The award will be given out at a pre Final Four news conference on April 4th. Jabari Parker of Duke is the only other ACC player on the list.

Ennis was also named as a Wayman Tisdale Award Finalist, an award given to the nation’s best freshman. Parker is also on that list, along with Joel Embiid and Andrew Wiggins of Kansas, Aaron Gordon of Arizona and Julius Randle of Kentucky. This award will be given to its winner on March 17th.

Fair averages a team-high 16.5 points and adds 6.1 rebounds per game. Ennis averages 12 points per game along with 5.6 assists and 2.1 steals.
