So with Syracuse’s dramatic win over Boston College to raise their record to 6-6 and therefore becoming bowl eligible, where will the Orange be heading sometime later this month? Well, it won’t be frosty Yankee Stadium again, although Syracuse fans might wish to return to the Bronx after wins over Kansas State in 2010 and West Virginia last season. Actually, the Orange could end up going to some bowl with a weird name which is irrelevant – the name, not the bowl. If you aren’t playing in a BCS game, then it’s all about real estate – location, location, location.
Here are some projections from writers around the internet on where the Orange will end up. And don’t forget, even though Syracuse is eligible, it doesn’t mean they will receive an invite as Brad Edwards of ESPN, Erick Smith of USA Today and Dave Miller of The National Football Post predicts.

Well, the good news is if any of these predictions come true, it will be nice weather (Although Dallas has had bad weather at the Cotton Bowl in the past). You are not going to get a high level opponent so the game will be winnable, too. The Heart of Dallas Bowl is preferable for TV fans because it’s New Year’s day at Noon, just about when you are getting up from your 2014 celebration.
We will find out soon and wouldn’t it be a shame to have the dramatic end-of-the-season win over BC.
