The Syracuse athletic department announced today that the football team will host Wake Forest on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 12:30 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. The Orange (3-4, 1-2 in ACC) have a bye this upcoming Saturday.

Former Syracuse quarterback Donovan McNabb will be honored at the game with the retirement of his jersey. McNabb is the third all-time leading passer in Syracuse football history with 8,389 yards. Ryan Nassib and Marvin Graves are ranked 1 and 2.
Syracuse won the most recent meeting between the teams, beating the Demon Deacons 36-29 in the Carrier Dome in 2011. Wake Forest beat the Orange in the first game in the series, 20-10, at Groves Stadium in 2006.
Wake Forest (4-4, 2-2) will play No. 6 ranked Miami on the road this week before making the trek north next week to visit the Orange.
Notes: Syracuse defensive tackle John Raymon suffered a right knee injury during Syracuse’s game at Georgia Tech. As a result of the injuries, Raymon will miss the remainder of the 2013-14 season. He will be scheduled for surgery in the coming weeks.
Raymon played in all seven games and had seven tackles, including six solo and 1.5 sacks, and a blocked kick. He had two solo tackles in the game at Georgia Tech before the injury.
