Orange Women Enter The Top 25


The Syracuse women’s basketball team has entered the top 25 for the first time this season. The ‘Cuse came in at #23 in the Coaches Poll, while getting 39 votes in the AP Poll. Here is the latest Coaches Poll for this week (January 14), courtesy of ESPN:

To me, this is long overdue for a team that is 14-1 on the season. Their only loss? Coincidentally enough, they have followed the men’s footsteps by losing to Temple back in early December. The women tip off next against DePaul tonight in the Carrier Dome, followed by a tough match up in Connecticut Saturday at 4:00.
