‘Cuse Players In The NBA 2.0

Love Syracuse players but get bored following the NBA? Not a problem! Every Wednesday we will update you on all the Syracuse players in the NBA, and give you their weekly statistics all basketball season long.

  • Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks- Carmelo went off in the first quarter against the Lakers earlier this week before leaving with an injury. Despite only playing only 23 minutes in the game against Los Angeles, Anthony still went for 30 points. ‘Melo then sprained his ankle, and is a game time decision tonight against the Brooklyn Nets.
  • Hakim Warrick, Charlotte Bobcats- Hakim has only played three minutes total in the last three games this past week, scoring two points. Warrick should see some more playing time however, with Tyrus Thomas going down with an injury ahead of him, and will miss about two months of action.
  • Wesley Johnson, Phoenix Suns- Wes has only played two minutes in the past week, and did not record a field goal. He has definitely found some struggles since making the leap to the NBA, and is still looking to fit in with the Suns.
  • Dion Waiters, Cleveland Cavaliers- Waiters had his first action since spraining his ankle eight games ago. Waiters played 28 minutes, and scored eight points to go along with four assists. Waiters also had a rim rattling dunk that highlighted Sportscenter’s “Top Ten Plays”.

*Kris Joseph was on last week’s list, but has been delegated to the D-League. Sources say he will be up and down with the Celtics this season, and will see limited minutes when he is up in the NBA.
