Syracuse looks to get above .500 for the first time in the 2012 season with a win this weekend at Cincinnati. The Orange have won two straight, while Cincinnati has lost two in a row. Here are some interesting facts about the game this weekend:

  • Cincinnati leads the all-time series over the Orange at 7-5. However, the teams have split the previous two meetings.
  • Syracuse is 10-6 in the history of the program’s games played on November 3.
  • With a win, Syracuse will have won 3 consecutive Big East games for the first time in roughly ten years.
  • With the win, Doug Marrone will have won more conference games this season than any other season with him at the helm of the Syracuse football program.

For our “taking a look” series, this week is about as boring as they come. There really aren’t many fun or interesting facts about this game other than it is a must win for Syracuse so they can really put themselves in a good position to get to a bowl game. A win here would be absolutely critical and would put the Orange in great shape heading down the stretch. Stay tuned throughout the week for more previews and predictions for the big game in Cinci this weekend.
