Ebenezer Ogundeko, New York State’s top recruit, still has not made a formal decision, according to Rivals.com. Earlier reports anticipated a decision from Ogundeko yesterday, although that was not the case. Syracuse is in Ogundeko’s final three choices for schools along with Notre Dame and Florida. The defensive end had originally declared he would decide on July 20, but has since changed his decision to December.
This would be a great win for Doug Marrone and the staff. Not only would you be signing a quality player who can absolutely be a play maker, but you are also taking the top recruit in your home state.
Equally impressive with Ogundeko’s on field stats which include a 34 inch vertical and a 4.91 second forty yard dash, Ebenezer also carries a 3.5 GPA in the classroom as well which speaks to his discipline and his intellect. Both qualities will absolutely translate on the field as well, and have all the makings of a leader.
Stay tuned for the latest once a decision is made!
